Cecil B. DeMille Hall Address: 375 N. Glassell St. Map Location: Credited with making Hollywood the motion picture capital of the world, producer-director Cecil B. DeMille championed the switch from short to feature-length films. He produced and directed 70 films and was involved in many more. His best-known were biblical epics: King of Kings, The Ten Commandments, and The Crusades. One of Chapman’s devoted trustees, Cecilia Presley, is DeMille’s granddaughter. The building was originally constructed in 1917 with building annex additions through 1975 (1 floor, 19,680 sq.ft.). This building represents a tradition of excellence. |
