Bruce
Dehning is an Associate Professor
of Accounting Information Systems at Chapman University’s
Argyros School of Business and Economics.
He holds a B.S. in
Finance, an M.S. in Accounting, and a Ph.D. in Accounting from the Leeds School
of Business at the University of Colorado.
Professor Dehning is Past-President of the Information Systems Section
of the American Accounting Association.
He was named an associate editor of the International Journal of Accounting Information Systems in 2007, received
the American Accounting Association Information Systems
Section Notable Contributions to the Literature Award in 2006, was named a Fulbright Scholar to teach
in the Czech Republic in 2005, and was awarded the Wang-Fradkin Professorship
at Chapman University in 2004. He has presented papers at numerous prestigious national and
international conferences, and his research has been published in MIS Quarterly, Journal of
Management Information Systems, Journal
of Operations Management, Journal of
Information Systems, Journal of
Strategic Information Systems, International
Journal of Accounting Information Systems, Information and Management, and other academic journals. Outside of academia he
spent time in the insurance industry and as an accounting information systems
consultant for small businesses.
