In the Literature ~ by Juan Manuel Sanchez |
|
I hope this e-mails finds everyone doing well this fall!
First off, I would like to thank Ronny Daigle for helping me get a handle on this important task! Ronny’s careful documentation was extremely helpful and allowed for a painless transition. I would also like to thank Adi Masli (Ph.D. candidate at the University Arkansas) for his help with this literature review.
I decided to keep the existing format largely unchanged as most of you may have already grown into it. I made two minor changes. First, I included a section underneath the abstract providing some information about the sample period, the number of observations, the variable of interest etc. (of course, I could not do this for some papers as some of them may be commentaries or literature reviews). Second, I decided to include a few working papers that may be of interest to our community.
As in previous columns, the focus was on the information systems literature as most of you may be aware of what’s going on in the accounting literature. The papers are categorized within topical areas (e.g., Research on Research, Business Value of IT) you may already be familiar with.
Please note that the Journal of the Association for Information Systems continues to provide free access to all of its archived articles extending back to its first volume in 2000 at their website of http://jais.isworld.org/contents.asp. To access any article, enter "readjais" into both the UserID and Password boxes.
Thank you very much for the honor of serving the IS Section!
