CPR/AED-First Aid Training 3/16/2016
The Adult First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for victims about 12 years and older. Successful students will receive a certificate for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years-Cost $50 (inlcudes personal CPR barrier mask,reference material and certificate.)

Fire Extinguisher Training-10/2/15
Fire and Life Safety personnel will instruct a brief classroom module with Power Point and hands-on live fire extinguisher training. This class will discuss proper execution of emergency procedures when encountering an early stage fire, use of different fire extinguisher types and other fire safety tips. *Participants should avoid wearing light loose clothing or open toe shoes.

Strategies to Survive an Active Shooter on Campus
Attendees will be instructed by Public Safety and Fire & Life Safety personnel on strategies to survive an active shooter incident. The training is based on the Run, Hide, Fight video produced by the City of Houston and endorsed by the Department of Homeland Security. Discussion will emphasize personal responsibility and preparedness in being aware of your surroundings and options should an active shooter incident occur.
