Responsibilities:

Successful completion of criminal background check required for final candidate. In addition, a DMV record check is required before and during employment. Continued employment in this position requires ongoing satisfactory DMV records reviews.

Under direction, working independently, or as a member of a team, provide analytical and development support for the university portal system and externally facing website. Serve as a contact with various constituent groups for design requirements, production problems and providing technical guidance. This position will help lead the development efforts of the university portal system and work closely with the university application development team and programmers to provide constituencies a seamless experience between the portal and other web based applications. In addition this position will provide backup for our Webmaster to the internet websites, creating templates and dynamic-content pages using ASP programming, as well as managing security roles, web analytics, search engine optimization, and troubleshooting website issues.

Must pass the Science Research Associates Computer Programmer Aptitude Battery with a 70 percentile or better. May be required to work extra hours to complete projects by a specific deadline.

Qualifications:
Required: Proven ability to evaluate data, assess alternatives, and make decisions and/or recommendations as required. Proven ability using HTML. Proven ability using CSS. Proven ability using JavaScript. Proven ability using Microsoft SharePoint. Proven familiarity with ASP and ASP.NET. Proven ability using Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills. Ability to use tact and diplomacy and to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals at all organizational levels. Ability to prioritize duties when faced with interruptions, distractions, and fluctuating workload. Proven ability to adapt to new technologies.

Desired: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience. Knowledge of C# and/or VB Programming. Proven conceptual knowledge of relational database and related tools. Proven ability using SQL. Working Knowledge of the campus and the university policies and procedures that pertain to the duties of this position.
