Successful completion of criminal background check required for final candidate. In addition, a DMV record check is required before and during employment. Continued employment in this position requires ongoing satisfactory DMV records reviews.
Work with the Windows Group in the configuration, installation, monitoring and maintenance of the University’s Windows Server Environment. Provide support for the servers across many layers: physical machines, virtual machines, OS, and the enterprise MS Exchange environment. Successfully research and deploy IT projects on time and within budget. Keep accurate records documenting all aspects of the Windows Server Environment.
Must have a valid California Driver’s License in order to operate and drive University vehicles. May be required to drive personal vehicle to off-campus locations. May be required to travel overnight to Academic Centers. May be required to work overtime to complete projects that must be done outside business hours to minimize downtime.
Desired: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Recent and up to date MCSE certification and VCP would be a plus. Prefer working knowledge of administrative computer systems and network technologies used in higher education. Knowledge of the campus and the university policies and procedures.
